More than 7 ounces of a heroin and fentanyl compound along with $14,500 were seized during searches of two homes last week in Jamestown.

No arrests were announced though an investigation remains ongoing, the Jamestown Police Department announced in a post to Facebook on Monday.

Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed search warrants at 839 Lafayette St. and 846 Lafayette St. around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6. Members of the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team as well as the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team helped officers gain entry into the two properties.

the department said, noting that charges were expected at a later time.

The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force was assisted by the Ellicott Police Department, Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
