Motor home explosion under investigation
WESTFIELD — A spontaneous motor home explosion sent firefighters running to 7233 Route 5 Tuesday around 1:30 p.m.
According to Marsha Holland, Westfield Fire Department chief, “It’s nothing suspicious, but it is going to be under investigation. The owner, who was not in the motor home at the time, heard an explosion, and when he ran to see what it was, discovered that the motor home was on fire.”
The motor home was located near a residence between McKinley and Pratt roads in the town of Westfield.
Responding agencies included the Mayville Fire Department, Portland Fire Department, Westfield Fire Department, Ripley Fire Department, and Chautauqua County Emergency Services.
