Butler leaves TLC for new job

Scott Butler

After years with TLC Health Network, Scott Butler has accepted a new position out of state.

Butler joined TLC six and a half years ago as an executive for Lake Erie Regional Health System of New York, which was the parent organization at that time for TLC and Brooks Memorial Hospital. His position later changed to vice president of Strategy and Market Development for TLC. His responsibilities increased over time and he was promoted to chief operating officer, where he was responsible for day-to-day operations as well as community relations, the hospital’s foundation and much more.

Butler will leave July 14 to become the chief executive officer of a specialty hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Patti Dole and Wendy Luce will be assuming some of his responsibilities, according to a memo sent by TLC CEO John Galati.

“Scott made a difference for the communities we serve in assuring that TLC met their needs with the provision of quality services. He is a very talented administrator and there is no doubt that he will be successful in bringing his talents and skills to his new position. On behalf of the board, the medical staff, work force and the community we thank him for a job well done,” Galati said. “Please join us in thanking Scott for his many contributions to TLC and wishing him and his family the very best in his new position.”

Butler thanked the TLC staff for their support and said the community is fortunate to have such dedicated and talented caregivers.

“I am so proud of all that each of you in the TLC family has been able to accomplish over these last few years in the face of tremendous adversity. I am constantly impressed with your ability to adapt, overcome, and continue to provide outstanding care no matter what challenge lies before you. So, despite feeling anxious about leaving so many friends behind as I take this next step in my career, I take great comfort in knowing that TLC will continue to thrive in my absence because you have already proven that, together, you can accomplish anything,” he said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
