A woman was flown to an area hospital this afternoon after her vehicle hit a tree and caught on fire. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. on Route 5 in the town of Sheridan, near Baron’s Inn. The vehicle was completely destroyed. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were at the scene and said more information will be released later.
