Sheriff opens substation at Pine Valley School
OBSERVER Staff report
SOUTH DAYTON — Sheriff Joseph A. Gerace announced that the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has established a substation at the Pine Valley Central School.
The substation will be utilized by deputies for completion of reports, interviews and other law enforcement related duties.
In addition to the office space provided by the district, the Sheriff’s Office and Office of Emergency Services will also be able to purchase fuel from the district’s existing system.
Sheriff Gerace stated: “I wish to thank School Superintendent Scott Payne and the Pine Valley Board of Education. This is a win-win agreement for the district and the Sheriff’s Office. It gives deputies a strategic location to work from and at the same time provides a law enforcement presence for the school.”
