Having a ball in Cooperstown

Last weekend, two of our area schools — Forestville and Chautauqua Lake — played on the historic Doubleday Field at the Baseball Hall of Fame. Forestville won, 10-2, but the result was not the most important part of the day.

On a sunny weekend, area families spent time together in Cooperstown to celebrate a game and its history.

It was not a traditional Memorial Day, but it was still something special.
