In Westfield, there is a statue of the president with Grace Bedell, who wrote to Lincoln mentioning how much more dignified he would be if he grew a beard. Lincoln's casket also came through Westfield after he was assassinated. But there is a Lincoln connection to my hometown, courtesy of my grandparents.
