In the first seven weeks, of Nate Built SpeciFX, I was shedding weight faster than I could have imagined.
However, stagnation set in.
Despite sticking to the diet and the workout plan, I barely lost a pound for three straight weeks. To help get past the stagnation, creator of Nate Built SpeciFX, Nathan Steiger put me on a weight-loss pill. In years past, I had tried weight-loss pills the day I started a diet or workout with not much luck. It struck me by surprise that I went nearly two months before being directed to buy fat burners at www.allprosupplements.com.
Steiger offered this explanation:
"I want people to see that proper diet and exercise makes you lose weight over taking pills to do it instead without exercise," he continued. "Secondly, I do not think it is healthy for a body that is not used to something like fat burners to be stressed by working out, cardio, new diet and then pills that increase heart rate. Too much, too soon and all at once is not good. The third reason I do this is that the body will start to adapt to the diet and cardio after about 2-3 months, and using the fat burners now gives you the extra edge to punch through any stagnation of the metabolism that may be occurring."
The strategy paid off.
After really focusing on my cardio and weight training, I have lost three pounds already this week. Entering the week at 218 pounds, I am at 215 pounds with three days left before I check in with Steiger.
I started this program Nov. 8, weighing 247 pounds. Seventy three days into the program, I have lost 32 pounds.
Next week I begin a new phase of the program and will report about it in my next blog.
