What's your take?

Our list of endorsements was published today — and there is a link to the editorial at right. It has been an interesting and surprising three weeks. Candidates have worked hard — and deserve thanks for their efforts of getting out, knocking on doors and communicating as best they can with their constituents.

There are two propositions — one in Dunkirk and one countywide. In the city, it is a request to eliminate the part-time assessors and in the county we urge you to downsize the Legislature.

Just like in the world of sports, not everyone wins and there will be a fair share of disappoint. For the record, our OBSERVER endorsement breakdown was this: five Republican candidates and four endorsed by the Democrats.
