The best fans?

September 18, 2013 - John D'Agostino
A lot of Buffalo sports followers believe they are the best fans in the world of sports.

That is hardly the case from this perspective, though they may be the best fans who leave a game early.

With 2 minutes to play, a major exodus of Ralph Wilson Stadium had begun. Carolina had the ball — and the lead — by 3 points. Buffalo still had a chance, even though it seemed to be fairly bleak.

After three plays and no first down, Carolina kicked a field goal to extend its lead to 23-17 with 1:38 left. At this point, some 12,000 fans had left.

Those who stayed — about 55,000 fans — were treated to an exciting finish and a Bills' win.

Bills' fans are loyal, but the best? That is questionable.

The best fans do not leave their seats till the game's outcome is official.

we feel that the actions of the few should not overshadow the actions of the many, shame on you John, positive press is what needed not criticism, the Bills won a exciting game, leave it at that....
