Taking the next step
June 2, 2014 - John D'Agostino
Doug Stock has been an advocate for labor all his life.
The Dunkirk Area Labor Council president was one of a number of speakers at the May 29 rally to hold ConAgra accountable to doing what is best for the Dunkirk-Fredonia community. The company is closing the Fredonia plant in February, which will lead to the loss of 425 jobs.
In his remarks, Stock told those in attendance that when they are laid off to not sit around. There are programs available to help find new employment and to make ends meet once an employee has lost their job.
