| | Two great winsSeptember 16, 2008 - John D'AgostinoWhat a weekend for Buffalo football. On Saturday, the University of Buffalo Bulls won on the final play of the game -- a Hail Mary pass -- to defeat the Temple Owls, 30-28. For the first time since coming back to Division I, the Bulls are 2-1. But things get tougher. This weekend, the Bulls visit Top 10 powerhouse Missouri. If they can stay within two touchdowns, that could be considered a victory. Buffalo's other part-time team -- the Bills when they are not in Toronto -- also are off to a solid start. After a convincing home win over Seattle, the Bills showed composure in a win over Jacksonville. In 1980, the Bills came out of nowhere to win the AFC East with an 11-5 record. With Oakland, St. Louis and Arizona ahead before the bye, the Bills could be the surprise team again nationally. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
