Teen stabbed Sunday
A teenager is currently recovering after being stabbed over the weekend. According to Fredonia Police, the 18-year-old victim was stabbed one time on Sunday around 8:20 p.m. in the area of 99 West Main St. “There was an altercation that occurred between two groups of youths. An 18-year-old male victim was stabbed one time and was treated and released from Brooks Memorial Hospital later that evening,” Meyers said. “The vehicle was seen leaving the area. The description of the vehicle was given out, and the car was stopped by the Dunkirk Police Department and four subjects were detained.” Meyers said no names will be made available at this point because no charges have been placed. “At this time we’re still collecting information, evidence and statements and we hope that in the final product arrests will be made,” Meyers said.
