The private sector also sees pay freezes, and even decreases when things are bad but as the economy crumbled the public sector just damanded, and got, more and more.

DarkStar - I was just making a point - that private sector employers do regularly give raises, contrary to what some want you to believe. The comment on the fully paid health insurance isn't the norm, I'll agree, but yet it does happen as I stumbled upon. Yes, I know a millionaire too, alas, not well however.
