Oh and these are people pulling in $100k+. The Super, Principals, Business Managers etc. Everyone else making that and getting raises like HaveANiceDay? Anyone? Thought not.

Hiker, 5th grade math class. 1% of $125,000 is $1250. Divided by 12 months equal $104.16 per month. or $52.08 per paycheck. WOW!!!! that will break the bank. By the way. I would laugh out loud if my company offered me a 2% raise over 3 years. I have a feeling you would complain no matter what was proposed.

Two working adults can no longer make enough money to support a family. Unless you work for the public like as a teacher or other public sector position. I remember Cassadaga, Sinclairville, Gerry and Stockton all had elementary schools. Cassadaga even expanded pushing out the public library(which is a whole other issue)Lower the property taxes and attract business, then jobs will come to support the infrastructure that has already been built. Closing and selling off surplus will end up costing us when enrollment comes back and we need more school space. Come on Como, help WNY!!! Take off the yoke Regan placed on our necks with the mandated federal programs that*****.99 cents of every dollar into a bottomless pit.

Killers, because NY is such a drain on residents, you know, so that their kids are well-educated, they all move the h e l l out of NY after they graduate high school. So, less residents to buy houses, pay taxes, and go to school. That, along with the fact that the birth rate is at its slowest growth since the Great Depression, and this is what you wind up with.

At one time Cassadaga Valley had four elementary schools and now they do not even have enough to fill one. What a shame and it is happening throughout the state. The board really has no choice and the reductions will continue until there will not be any Cassadaga Valley, along with Ripley, Brocton, Forestville, etc.
