"the County Home has a fund balance of roughly 25 percent of its revenue"
How can this be?
What happens to the IGT money if we do not use it? Everyone is quick to point out that it is taxpayer money. However, my question if we do not apply for it with matching local funds will we see a decrease in our taxes? Heck NO We will just lose out on money already allocated.
Just like if they sell the HOME how much will my taxes go down. Oh that is right NO ONE PENNY.
For my taxes, let us continue to fund the HOME. It is one of the few things I am proud that my taxes help fund.

Out taxes will not decrease when the home is sold, but they will increase if it is not sold. The fund balance is nearly depleated and the home will not be able to operate without more than $3M per year in IGT support.

FredoniaFred.....hey someone with a brain. You got it correct. If we do not sell you can be sure taxes will go up. You also have to factor in plant closings and job loss. If you think NRG will be saved think again. It is a no brainer....the home must be sold!!!!!
