Hey maggie, a big end use of hydrocarbons is ethylene or polyethylene, the plastic bottle. Plants make ethylene and man makes polyethylene. we have imitated the plant world as we cannot grow hydrocarbons fast enough. Plants are a miniature chemical factory. Man just made them bigger. Maggie, you should get smarter by reading history. The Iraq war could be viewed as payback for the treaty of tripoli and the other islamic incursions into the west.
