I thought it would be a good time to contact Sheriff Joseph A. Gerace because of his article praising Prince Andys unconstitutional gun laws.First I had to put GERACE,SHERIFF in the address box,gun laws in the subject box and then a message asking him to join the Sheriff that are refusing to enforce unconstitutional gun laws. Then I sent it and got back an e saying I had to hit reply and send to get on the trusted contacts so my e would go through.I also tried but I don't know if that's valid. Can't hurt to make your point.

"The thing is pretty vague," Bentley said of the state's SAFE Act. "It's not very specific as it should be, and people are calling us about it."

This is exactly what happens when you try to legislate morality and a bunch of professional and generally clueless politicians rush some ill thought and obviously unconstitutional legislation out the door.

Chief Bentley should be praised for his candor and comments. It would be nice if he'd join the swelling ranks of police chiefs and sheriffs across the country in refusing to enforce blatantly unconstitutional legislation such as this.

The dimwits in Albany would have done better had they just passed the part of it that increased the penalties for certain crimes committed with guns.
