Baylor then answered questions about environmental impacts; the source of the natural gas to run the plant....

Will the abandoned gas well project at CCH become one of NRG's sources? Edwards is a true visionary :)

Lets see, if we convert the plant to natural gas it will emit more water vapor a much greater greenhouse gas than co2 ever was.I have a refernce book by NRG saying the most modern electrical stuff, transmission, substations , etc was in the mideast countries as they are in the energy business. That power line down the 90 would have to be upgraded to a much higher voltage to make this worthwhile.I could see this being fought big time. I like his comments about cool receptions about power plants. everyone hates them, till a hurricane sandy thing arrives. then the power companies are hated again for no service. we can thank the libs for that.
