Chautauqua County Legislature is voting on the Repeal the NY SAFE ACT proposal tonight.I've got at least 13 of the 25 as Yes.Hope they come through.

Check out the knife crime rates in the UK. They along with other violent crimes have skyrocketed since they took away the common law of allowing people to own. Kind of like the same type liberal feel goods are trying to do with the 2nd Amendment.

Regulateski SE:the crime rates spiked in Britain....wait for it..because the law-abiding people were DISARMED.Sadly they didn't have Regulateski SE and Judeye to tell the criminals(who have guns or knives or clubs or just their size or number of criminal in their favor)that they had to take a "time-out" until they can "get along" with their fellow man.You're a traveling man if only you could go the brits and aussies(also disarmed)and save them.

1Laona: Your claims about the UK are entirely unfounded! Compared to the US, it is a peaceful country with almost no gun crimes. People there accept that. So please state for your NRA audience your evidence and statistics for how the US compares to the UK in crime stats, murders, suicide by gun, accidental shooting, opinions of law enforcement, even politicians are in support. Another similar country where there's no gun violence: Japan. Go to the Internet and compare it to the US on whatever bases you'd like. I have close friends in the UK and they'll tell you many of them live in fear. They no longer go out at night because of violent crime. Most local Bobbies are scared of the Hooligans even though more and more Bobbies are now armed but they know their families are unarmed and the Hooligans know it.

Regulateski,check on crime in UK.After they disarmed the law abiding people(again)the muggings,rapes,home invasions skyrocketed.I've been to the UK and have seen what they have to deal with.Check into the "Arab-alleys",miles upon miles of many clearly discontented males around their cinder-block buildings.While you still see un-armed Bobbies patroling you also see those with bullet-proof vests and machine-pistols.The people on the street can't believe that the Liberals rammed through their gun ban and confiscation.(sound familar?)

Regelski, why is it "paranoia"? When the legislature of the state of Missouri announces they are considering a bill to CONFISCATE certain weapons, you don't consider that a fact? And you are obviously new to this thread. I have stated several times I do not own a long gun. I have never seen the personal need to have one in my possession. But I sure don't want someone petrified with fright of inanimate objects telling people they can't own one because it scares them. For example...you. I don't care about other countries, nor what they do. How many people from those countries would love to come here and live? Why? Because of the freedoms Americans inherently are afforded by the Constitution. If you are so enamored of the safety of those other countries feel free to make one of them your new home. Mike Davis: Again, you hold 'court' with your predictable paranoia that the government and unnamed others want to take your toys away. Itis beyond understanding that a responsible, patriot citizen, would not agree that guns are a particularly dangerous facet of our lives. Let's change the topic from hunting and self-protection: are you aware of (or concerned with) suicides by gun? Do you pay attention to the stats of homicides, suicides (etc.) by gun in countries--civilized countries like Japan and the UK0--where guns are controlled? Are you aware that the crime stats involving guns in such countries are fantastically lower than here? Do you care? Or do you care only for using the gun issue in behalf of your rant against the American way of life, in which laws are enacted to protect us from all kinds of reasonable fears? You have nothing to support your claims of any confiscation of guns or take-over by the American government. Government is of, by, and for the people.
