Diane, it was a good human interest story. If I may make a suggestion for meatier future articles, write about who invented what. Some of it is over 100 years old, but we still use the inventions in our lives today. Hint, try liquid air, Carl von Linde ( Linde Air) . The germans were king of the heap on may things. this should lead to fritz haber. The story and use of their inventions is fascinating. They changed the world.

Hey diane, one more commment. i saw on PBS a story about oceans and weather. nitrates were mentioned. man makes more nitrates than nature does. guess who figured into that scheme ? the men i mentioned. Without nitrates, mass starvation would follow. thank you fritz !
