A win for the farmers!! They are the ones who work to make the market the success it is. Why would anyone question their choice for who they think would make the best partner to help operate the Market?
By the way, the gift certificates were by the Chautauqua County Chamber. I went to the exact same place, JCC business center, where they have an office and where I had purchased the certificates the year before. I left a detailed note for Greg Krauza with my contact information. I heard nothing. So I bought gift certificates directly from local businesses as gifts this year. Not only buy local...Give local as well!!

I have to agree, I'm not sure why this was even a question.
In my view the question should have been is the farm group able to do it? If so they are given the reins, and if not then only at that point should they have looked for someone outside group to run it.
I have to ask, was Krauza there? At one point it said "Greg Krauza represented the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce..." but then later says "Trustee Janel Subjack read from a letter from Krauza explaining he could not attend the meeting..."

Farmers markets should, and will, be banned. They are nothing more than a salmonella outbreak waiting to happen, and the FDA is working as we speak to make them illegal. Personally I wouldn't buy a single grape at a farmers market, they simply take profits away from legitimate corporate agribusinesses.
