Which current events are you speaking of Ms. H? I am not aware of ANY constitutional rights being taken away from us recently. I do remember the Bush administration taking away our right to have a private conversation on the telephone, but this was under the auspices of the Patriot Act, so I heard no one complain. I hear a lot of people on the right saying that our rights are being taken away, but I don't see any actually being taken away. Perhaps you could let me know. Thank-you.
Before the Gun issue, where were all of you people? I never heard a word from the Right about The Patriot Act, the single largest assault on basic Constitutional rights in this century.
I can't speak for the others but I wasn't on the forums when that happened. The un-Patriot act that bush put thru was one of the worst bills restricting peoples freedoms of all time. And when Obama renewed it that made him just as bad as bush. The gun laws will make him worse.
Bush passed the Patriot Act as a display of right wing political dogma, especially the views espoused by Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, two of the scariest politicians I've ever seen. Obama renewed it due to a total lack of nerve, knowing he'd be giving political ammunition to the extreme right, including those who are always up in arms over their "Constitutional Rights". Yeah, when it SUITS them!
There will be a local bus(Dunkirk/Fredonia area)going to the protest in Albany on 2/28/13,the cost is $55 a seat.call 672-6210 for details****e and join us to work for the repeal of the NY SAFE ACT.

You won't get an answer to that, or I should say one based on facts.

How about our right not to be forced to buy healthcare. We lost that. NYS lost gun rights and soon the nation will.
