Wasnt one of those calls a DWI CRASH that Kris Sosinski was in? Now he is back at work? Must be nice to break the law and still work as a police officer. SAD.

Phil & hadenough are 100% correct, although it goes beyond that as well.

Did you know that if someone wants to move to NYS they can apply for welfare and medicaid, and be accepted, before ever setting foot in the state?

I've seen people who literally just arrived in NYS for the first time and they already had a NYS medicaid card.

Had enough, I remember when it used to be shameful to be on public assistance. Now, it seems to be a badge of honor.

If everyone was armed with one or more guns we wouldn't need no police.

How much money did the city collect on the parking tickets and tickets written by the ACO. Not much you can be sure of that. If it were a lot of money city hall would be singing from the roof tops how much it gets.

Phil speaks the truth why can't you see that. Before federal housing monies were available Dunkirk was a thriving city. Federal monies for housing also include section 8. Look up the requirements to apply for section 8 housing. Then you will see why there is such an influx of people receiving welfare living in the city. Hey you know if all you want to do is sit on your porch smoke cigs and drink. What better place to do it than in Dunkirk. Being such a small city the state or the Feds are not going to look to deeply into who is getting what and are they entitled to it. Remember these people know more about this way of life than those who have to enforce it. And it is only going to get worse.

CAPTAIN - I don't mind getting blasted for telling the truth. This is not the Dunkirk I grew up in and the decay is pitiful.

We continue to pay a big price for accepting federal money for low income housing. The character of our city and the quality of our schools and neighborhoods will continue to suffer for generations to come.
