By the way, the basis for the sewer rate increase is the increased costs for chemicals and treatment, NOT the wages of the employees.

Hey wiseup, how about you list what you think those employees should make, including benefits, and then see how many people would take the job. How about you list your job, pay and benefits? If I ran this newspaper, every commenter would be using their real name. What an interesting situation THAT would be. I'd bet the number of posters would drop dramatically.

Hey teachers, what job is much more important than a teacher job ? A sewer worker job. Take away these plants and epidemics will return.The sewer worker is the most under appreciated job as far as i can tell. teachers steal all the glory.The govt actually fears a terrorist attack on a sewer plant.Sp long healthy lives to sewer workers !
