"...creating safe routes to school that encourage kids to walk or ride their bikes..."

This is perhaps one of the biggest joks in Dunkirk (not sure about Jamestown and Silver Creek.)

This actually raises something I've been wondering about, why exactly did Dunkirk start busing kids to grade school? I mean one of the reasons for neighborhood schools is to avoid having to bus kids, but in Dunkirk taxpayers are saddled with paying for both.

This is especially ironic since any talk of consolidating schools is derided and dismissed.

All that welfare and all that smoke. cigarettes are about 10.00 a pack. Why can welfare recipients afford all of these cigarettes????
