It's crazy that the reporter gave the county's bid in an annual amount and the Benderson bid in a ten year gross amount. The difference is about $10,000 per year. Benderson is giving the Feds a brand new building NOW that meets its needs NOW. (Will the Benderson building be on the tax rolls?). County wanted ""time" to meet the specs. Sounds like a no brainer for the Feds to accept the Benderson bid. Mr.Edwards wasn't being a good businessman or landlord here. Edwards should have been able to make the modest upgrades in real time and continued the lease.

one wonders how many bids were received and if their is a personal connection to Benson Corp.
I think there must be more to this story. The difference in the two amounts is over 1 million dollars.
