Notice how the residents of Watertown stood on the streets and applauded, cheered the police, fire and EMT crews?

Did you also notice how NO ONE, N-O O-N-E said, "Thanks to all you heat-packing households -- because of your guns and the enormous deterrent effect your guns had, the perp had no choice to surrender to us -- you guys were like back-up for us. We applaud you!!"

Glad they took him alive. It was reported that an unnamed foreign country requested that the FBI do a background check on the older brother two years ago. It was also reported that he recently spent six months in Russia. Draw your own conclusions but I would not be surprised to find out that he had connections with foreign terrorist groups. America's aggresive foreign policy in the middle east could be the root cause of all the violence.

hey dc, assault weapons are illegal in mass. The cops were made fools of by these two guys. You are just worshiping at the feet of govt as usual. 2oo rounds fired by our gallant police and the guy escapes. No wonder the libs want to ban assault weapons. hey libs, did ya catch that the suspects were islamic oriented ? the cops shut down a major city, announce that they lose him, a tip is phoned in an Dcronig is praising the govt. we should be laughing them to scorn ! yes folks we should . Judeye is going on about being proud . The libs are mentally gone on this ! hey libs, why dont ya treat the gun owners and repubs like you treat the terrorists ? i mean you say we cant judge groups of people, muslims i think by actions of a few. that does not apply to gun owners for sure. dc has mocked them. He must like terrorists. the govt should be mocked for this. It was the public and security footasge that gave the police help. dc praises the cops for failure and judeye is feeling proud.

hey dc, why dont you give us your cost anaylsis here , like you did for maggie on schools. I bet the actual cost of this fiasco to Bostson was a penny !two guys shut down a major city and the libs are rejoicing ! Is it any wonder america is so messed up with liberals in charge ? Boston has a bullseye printed on it now for sure. the libs can hope for a tea partier to be responsible as they were hoping this act was.can you imagine if the boat owner fired back at the suspect in the boat ? He would be arrested by the libs for sure. public safety concerns ! Those retarded liberals. be sure to advocate background checks for pressure cookers. there is no right to own one . Dc could mock pressure cooker owners, the govt is the only entity entitled to own a pressure cooker right ?

hey dc and the libs, if my lifesaving work in the chemical industry exhibited failure like the govt did here, i would be in jail ! praise be to the govt . Libs are hopeless on this. It shows for sure that one or two diabolicaly clever people can really do damage. The libs have trouble with this as they always say you did not build that . the libs dont believe in mind power as they only have ganglionc activity, not true minds. By that reasoning, the 2 suspects are innocent. it just sort of happened. No wait, it was the pressure cooker maker's fault . Why would anyone need such high pressure . Right libs ? the mindless liberals and their public employee unions at it again.

Judeye/Phil,good comments,I agree. Dcronig do you realize that 4 people were murdered and you make it out to be somewhat of a joke, that's shameful!! Steiner- law enforcement did a great job considering the short amount of time needed to get those two rats. Politics should be left out of this.

lets see, leave politica out of this ? politics has everything to do with it. golly liberals are slow. The two guys were amercia haters just like the liberals. they were given haven in a very liberal area . Now the libs are screaming see the success we did. Dead and maimed people and the libs are celebrating the govt is the solution. the police were terrible here. Look at the odds, thousands to two and finally one. If that guy had not looked in the boat, who knows what would have happened. now you see why america needs assult weapons in the hands of the citizens. the police are incompetent except for traffic tickets. the political correctness paralyzes them except for attacking gub owners and repubs. It is staggering what just happened and the libs think it was a success for them.

I relly don't think this has anything to do with liberals or conservatives other than the neo-copnservatives who strongly support everything to do with Israel. To get to the root of the problem we have to answer this question: Why do Muslims have such a passionate hatred for America? When we give an hinest answer to that question we will have taken the first step toward eliminating terrorism. If we avoid that question we will have to live with death and bombs for many years into the future.

Phil we are looked upon as second class citizens. We unless we want to adopt the "moral code" of Islam(sharia law)are as you have said going to have to endure the death and bombs. Sharia law controls all aspects of ones daily life and is against everything that is America. Besides I'd go completely bonkers having to listen to that wailing over the loudspeakers.

Phil... "Why do Muslims have such a passionate hatred for America? "

THEY DON'T!!!!

I have friends living right here in our community who are Muslim. I know many in other parts of our Country who are Muslim. I have traveled in several countries where the majority of the people living there were Muslim.

This has to do with a small..a very small portion..of people in that faith.

Just like the Westboro Church does NOT represent MOST Christians.

To condemn an entire religion due to the radical actions of a small minority is just plain wrong and unjust. Does nothing but to promote fear and hate.

Sharia law ..you do know that few Muslims follow those laws. Just like few Christians follow the old laws in the bible such as Don't cut your hair nor shave. (Leviticus 19:27) If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18) Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27) (put all in Lily Dale on notice ha ha) Anyone who dreams or prophesizes anything that is against God, or anyone who tries to turn you from God, is to be put to death. (Deuteronomy 13:5) Kill anyone with a different religion. (Deuteronomy 17:2-7)

How many Christians do you know who follow ANY of those laws?

It is twisted faiths, fears and people who use the vulnerable to invoke evil and violence on others that is the problem. People of ALL faiths and all countries are vulnerable if we stop thinking for ourselves and let anyone direct us.

And the repubs have a war against women . judeye, you have made an absolute fool out of yourself here. like a good activist women does.

Well, other than Steiners usual incoherent rants, I would like to say that the 200 rounds fired by PROFESSIONALS with little results is why CIVILIANS shouldn't have those guns. They encourage that sort of "marksmanship". Judeye, I read all the time how it's a minority of Muslims giving them a bad name, yet most estimates in all Arab countries gives the radical anywhere fro 20-35% of their respective populations. That's MILLIONS of people and a very significant percentage. And, they may not follow strict sharia law everywhere, but in most Muslim countries, women are truly second class citizens. To say otherwise is pure fiction and denial of reality. And, last but not least, proudtobeUnAmerican is reason for a like button, not just agree/disagree!

One more thing, between ignoring reports of Muslims taking flying lessons, and now the failure to follow up on a report from Russia that we should watch the older brother, in 2011 mind you, the FBI isn't giving me any sort of confidence at all. Homeland Security my donkey!! He flies to Russia AFTER that warning, and that doesn't trigger anything? He's not on some sort of watch list!!? Yep, I sure feel better!

Oh, and Steiner? That was a FEMALE FBI agent that tried to get her superiors to pay attention to the Arab flight training BEFORE the 9/11 attack.

JUDEYE - let me put it this way. Friction between religious groups in the middle east has been going on since biblical times and the friction will still be there after you and I are long gone. As the United States provides unconditional support financially and militarily to Israel we have in effect taken sides in what is essentially a religious war. As I see it the terrorism we are experiencing today is no different that the terrorism experienced by Israel for decades. It is not a winnable situation because it is primarily motivated by religious differences. We will continue to spend alot of money and spill alot of blood until we learn to mind our own business. People in the middle east are not interested in adopting American values and we are des***** for our support of Israel. I agree that there are many good Muslims - it is the radicals that cause the problems.

I watched a special not long ago on the History Channel concerning the 9/11 hijackers. They emphasized that these hijackers were representative of only a small percentage of Muslims who believe in the type of radical Islam these hijackers did. Thing is, they didn’t give any numbers or percentage. Doing some researching, experts believe that 7% of Muslims believe in radical Islam. With approximately 1.57 billion Muslims in the world, that comes out to close to 109 million Muslims. One hundred nine million Muslims believe the same way the 9/11 hijackers do. That’s over one-third the population of the United States.

So, when you hear people say that only a small percentage of Muslims are radical, remember that small percentage equates to over 109,000,000.

Phil, if I understand you correctly; we should throw our long time ally, Israel, under the bus so the Muslims in the Middle East will like us? I find it amazing you continue to use this analogy to justify the killing of innocent people by these rabid animals.

STANGV8 - apparently you enjoy seeing thousands of our youth get slaughtered for the sake of a foreign country. Maybe you approve of the spending of billions of dollars for a cause that is unachieveable. Maybe you don't have a problem with our citizens and buildings getting blown up for no good reason. I am not suggesting throwing anyone under the bus. I do think both sides need to be forced to negotiate and reach a compromise on their territorial dispute and it needs to be done without lopsided support for either side.

Phil, have you ever though of why one group has to kill and destroy because they don't like something? Where are thousands of our youth getting slaughtered for Israel?

One country has one little sliver of land, no wider than, what, 60 miles, and that's the big dispute. Nobody over there cared about it at all until the Israelis started to make it work for them and prospered.
