The facts actually support repowering and continued operation of a facility on the Dunkirk site. This area of the state lacks megawatt's and voltage support to the grid and National Grids option is costly transmission upgrades that come out of their pocket and do not allow any provisions for growth if power needs were to increase. NRG's proposal provides power from what would become the cheapest most efficient power plant in NYS.

Not convenient for them to shut it down yet so they will string them along. When they are done using them they will shut them down. I truly hope I am wrong about this.

Sounds like they are just buying to in an attempt to soften the blow of closer.I surely hope not but that's what it sounds like.
