The learned gals are at it again. Judeye, dont like citizens united ? Tough. Since when do you control other peoples speech ? The activist women need the advice from that famous 70's TV show, stifle yourselves ! you do not know what you are doing. From prohibiton, sterilizations, ERA and more, our activist gals have messed up everything. Gals with such a record like that , do the world a favor and withdraw from politics. we do not need anymore nannies or mommies to rule over us. for that is what you have become, over grown mommies.

Good luck getting this changed. Like Phil said the animals are running the farm. The tail is wagging the dog. Why would they want power to be taken away from them. They have it their way.

Come to VA - the FBI is looking at the governor. In addition to over $100k in campaign contributions, he's taken from a company vacations, transportation, etc. - and his wife promoted that company's "miracle elixer.

The gove reported that - there is NO limit here on what a politican can take from a company, whether dollars or vacations, or a luxery car, as long as it's disclosed.

The gov's daughter got married, and dad signed the catering contract. But that same company paid the caterer $15,000 - - and the gov didn't disclose it because "gifts to family members" need not be reported.

Unbelievable...

I totally agree that campaign finance is one of the biggest problems facing our democracy. We must get a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizen's United, which casts corporations as people.

This is an idea that should be promoted on a national level but can you imagine any politician accepting reform when his re-election may be at stake? The problem is they make the rules. The animals are running the farm.

"Many think that the biggest threat to our democracy is the outside influence of money in politics."

I am one of those people. Money flooding into our ballot boxes has drowned out the voices of the people. Get the money out..all of it. From all outside interest groups.
