Stan, so day care and food vouchers are a bad thing but meals to old people is a good thing? Can't see much of a difference myself, its taking care of people who need some help.

Maybe they shouldn’t have voted the money to get the air traffic control system back up to full strength. After all, why should we care if the supervisors are overworked and mistakenly crash a couple airlines; as long as we’re not in them it’s no big deal. Just have to make sure those free meals and daycare programs keep on track as some apparently are upset their free lunch might stop. BTW, I believe Meals on Wheels is a great program and donate my own money to them.

Judeye, If you notice the first time you used compromise there are 4 "*" before -promise. That means that you spelled it wrong.

DarkStar...ahh...duh

That was exactly the point of the sequester. To make the cuts so painful that NO one would let them go through. A way to try to force.****PROMISE. See how well it worked with those in our Congress who think Compromise is some kind of bad thing?

The administration messed up by permitting the bill to give back money to the air traffic controllers and NOT to other programs such as Meals on Wheels and Head Start.

Hope everyone understands...just where the priorities are these days.

MikeDavis and Darkstar, the sequestration was approved by Congress and signed by Obama, so they share equal blame. It is specific as to what was to be cut, to make it harder for both political parties to take, in the hopes they would solve the problem. Didn't happen, but to blame one over the other is lying.

The sequestration is a joke, and the administration is doing it's best to insure it causes maximum impact on the public so the left can fool them into thinking that we can't possibly cut spending.

Strange how all the cuts are made highly publized and to programs that will upset people I wonder why?

Who would Congress (and the President) rather inconvenience?

1. Themselves + business travelers + campaign donors?

2. Seniors dependent on things like Meals on Wheels?

Guess we found out...

I'm more upset that the Pres. cannot give up his golfing, vacationing, trips to democratic fundraisers, etc.

Yes commentator, those horrible seniors, those takers, who actually want to eat every day. What nerve, when congressmen need to travel and tourists want to go to the White House, Where are our priorities anyways?

Right Judeye give to the takers. How much are you or someone in your family on the take?

I am more upset that Congress would vote to give money back to air traffic controllers so flights would not be delayed, yet NO giving money back to programs that actually help people..like Head Start and Meals on Wheels.

Talk about pettiness. Not to even mention our priorities...
