One neighbor said she saw a woman in the window holding a child and screamiong for help. The neighbor called the police but when a cop responded he got no resaponse ag the door and he left the scene apparently for lack of evidence. I think before the final chapter is written on this story the police department has a lot of explaining to do. Why didn't they break down the door to save the girl and child based on the neighbor's observation?

Preprocessed zoo food? Just put them in the lions' den alive, after a 3 day forced fast. Give this scum a taste of his own medicine.

You may not want to get involved but there is no excuse for not calling authorities.

Ramsay is decent guy -- when the moment required, he did the right thing.

On the other hand, the perps are zoo food; seriously, drop them into a huge Cuisinart chopper, process them into 5 gal buckets and send them off to some zoos. They're animals, and being next-in-line in the food chain is the only good they could ever do for society at this point.

I'd rather have the $100K/yr per perp cost of a life sentence incarceration go towards Headstart or Boys/Girls Clubs.

Steiner, you're out of line on this one.

It's a shame people are digging up Ramsey's past troubles and problems. What he did in the past has no bearing on his actions of today. The man has regrets he didn't notice something wrong earlier and possibly could have done something then.

Listening to Ramsey speak and tell of the events is a hoot. His interview with Anderson Cooper is priceless.

"caring and sharing again from the libs"

I would hope, especially for a heinous crime like this, that "caring and sharing" would be the reaction by all decent folks across the full political spectrum.

caring and sharing again from the libs. 10 years in captivity and noone sees anything out of the norm ? Hard to believe. The police were there several times and nothing happened. So much for the cops again. Better stick to traffic tickets guys.Did ya catch ramseys statement about a white girl running to a black man ? Thats how he really knew something was wrong.

Thank You Mr. Ramsey for getting involved. Thank You for caring, for taking the time to take action. For not ignoring the cries for help. Thank You for being a good neighbor, a caring person, and a decent human being. Thank you for getting involved.

This is what being a good neighbor, a good citizen, a good person...is all about. Caring and sharing with each other. Hope your actions inspire others not to turn away when others are in need.

Thank You Charles Ramsey!

A lot of people look away. Because sometimes, you can be held liable and sued.

I would think twice before helping just about anyone, and if it was strange/serious enough I would call 911.
