I hope that the board is really looking at the benefits. Personally my insurance costs my family 25% per month and we still have to pay for co-pays. Out of pocket expense for medical last year was $6800.00. Why should the village employees get their co-pays reimbursed or pay minimal for their insurance? Not!!! Time for the board to take a stand. They may also consider downsizing or better yet why not merge with the town. There is a handful of families that are benefiting working for this village. The tax payers in this village deserve a break. Less people less spending. Cuts in road service is a shame but we live on Burgess and between the village and county some one should be doing repairs but it is a constant battle. Until they figure something else out I don't feel bad for the rest of the 1.2 square miles of road that need to be maintained!

Palmer is right. The amount of money saved in the Long run is more than enough incentive to contract withCCSD.the benefit package the village employees receive is out of this world. The contribution per employee is nothing short of ridiculous. The mayor needs to get more in contributions for the health package the employees receive.
