The unemployment rate in Chau-tauqua County fell by .8 percent in March, and is now lower than it was last year. The unemployment rate was 8.8 percent in the county last month. That is ....

The county unemployment rate is still 20% higher than the national rate. We will not see growth and prosperity in the county until the size and cost of government is substantially reduced.

Nice percentage numbers being passed around in the article, but for this county what are the actual numbers, the actual headcounts?

Its not a big number for a count that is less than 1% of the state's population...

Unemployment coming down. Stock market going up. Let us hope these are signs of a real economic recovery.

Now if we only could get Congress to pass the Jobs Bill....
