In an article on Monday regarding low water levels, Dunkirk Mayor Anthony J. Dolce lamented over the lack of funds for Lake Erie when compared to Chautauqua Lake. He then took it a step further....

Jobs and opportunity brings people to an area. i.e. North and South Dakota. This area has limited opportunity. There are many reasons why this condition developed. However that is the situation. Personally I do not believe the situation will change. The area will not disapear ...but may continue to get smaller.

typical AJ, the truth is grant money is there, problem is the city does not have a complaint grant request writer, or the ability to get applications in on time, it's the only explanation, other communities in western new York have gotten grant money numerous times
