The question should be...Does this paper know no bounds when it twists and distorts the truth to promote more of their right wing biases? Is your only source of information FOX, Rush, and right wing blogs?

Where is the other side..and oh yes there is another side to each of these issues.

In our house we consider half truths distortions..to be lies.

Wished this paper would give BOTH sides to these important issues.

By the way if this paper thinks that it is wrong for Sebelius to solicit funds from health care companies to do PR on the ACA, what does it think of our local Rep Reed taking money from the oil and gas industry as we debate "fracking" in our region?

ENOUGH of all these investigations and waste of our time and money. WHERE ARE THE JOBS? Congress has yet to pass ANY jobs bill. They are more interested in witch hunting cover ups so no one will notice they are not doing their jobs.

This is what is truly unethical and should be illegal.

37 times they have voted to repeal the health care act....get over it.you lost, now lets implement it so we can at least try and reduce the cost of health care in this great nation. Health Care = #1 cause for bankruptcy in this country.

To the clueless church lady gaggle OBSERVER board: Obamacare is the law of the land, period.

The SCOTUS said so, the voters said so twice -- when the legislation was first approved and then with Obama's reelection -- and all the subsequent showboating unsuccessful votes to repeal it.

The GOP done nothing for this country since 2010 but promote and attempt to legislate its hateful, spiteful agenda against the very citizens its supposed to protect.

Its the GOP not doing its job for the peoples' business -- funding this legislation.

Its a shame that HHS Sebelius has no choice but to do what she has to do to administer the law.

Judeye-please give us the "other side" of the story OK? Do you really think investigating the Government for stepping all over the constitution is a "witch hunt"? (another reason I might add of why we need to keep our firearms)If you don't understand the difference between Sebelius and Reed you have a problem. CNN,ABC,NBC are all saying these scandals need to be investigated. Saying Congress has not passed any jobs bill is not true Judeye and you must know that? Now please tell us what the distortions and twists of the truth are? The only fracking going on is that which is being done to our constitution!

Nice attempt at misdirection Judeye and DC.

The question remains, should the person in charge of regulating an industry being seeking donations from those same companies?

I'm sure if this was a GOP administration you both would be screaming bloody murder about corruption and the like, so why do you defend these actions now?

The company does pay payroll taxes and local and state taxes.

Exactly why I brought up the donations made by oil and gas industry to Rep Reed campaign. How can he be objective if he is getting money from the industry?

IRS scandal. A 501 (c) tax exempt status is granted to groups with primary purpose must be enhancing the social welfare. It may engage in some political activity, but his may not be it PRIMARY role.

Since Citizens United ruling in 2010 the number of applications for this status went from 1700 to 3400. Some of the workers in the office in question targeted conservative groups with Tea Party or Patriot in their name for further scrutiny, requested more information and delayed approvals.

We all know profiling is wrong (dont we?)..just as this was wrong. When the director learned of it, she demanded they stop this practice. In NO way was it political. Rather it appears to be prompted by the increase in the workload. In fact the IRS commissioner at the time was an appointee made by Pres Bush.

NOT one of the conservative groups was DENIED the tax exempt status (which makes me wonder just what the karl rove group does for social welfare that they do not need to pay taxes).

The ONLY group that was denied the 501 9c) status...was in fact a LIBERAL group from Maine.

Of course this needs to be further looked into. To me, an easy fix. NO POLITICAL ACTIVITIES should be permitted by any group seeking tax exempt status.

Trying to connect this to President Obama..is called a right wing witch hunt conspiracy theory.

The issue of Benghazi is one of the most disturbing to me. We were attacked. At the time, it looked like the entire Middle East and much of other Muslim dominated regions were exploding.

During an attack against AMERICA, as Americans, is a time we should unite..not start to point fingers.

Oh yes, I think we should investigate..who did this...what could have been done, if anything, to avoid further attacks, and what kind of security should we have. But to start a blame game....disgusting.

I for one am so sick and tired of everything being used for political reasons rather than for the overall good of our country.

JOBS BILL...read it...then tell me why it has not been brought up to the floor for debate..yet they have time to bring up repeal of a health care bill 37 times.

Where is the outrage from this paper? I thought JOBS were one of their priorities.

And for those of you who keep bringing up the stimulus...read something on it..tired of trying to explain it.

DarkStar...actually I am appalled that our Congress would not allocate money to help educate the public on the ACA.

If they had she would not have had to solicit money from the insurance companies.

Much to counter..as we have seen in this paper. When was the last time you read a comprehensive article explaining ANY of the benefits of this bill to the people of this area?

Judeye, more than any other poster, bones up on the many subjects of what she speaks. Y'all personally attack her because she is a member of the group that you hate and despise. Thus, any intellectual argument you have for her is trumped by emotion. Hatred spilling over and covering any perspective is ugly, hateful, and frankly, un-American. Come on Patriots, you can do better than that!!!

Benghazi was one of many attacks on US Embassies... and with fewer deaths... why no inquests on the others... perhaps because there were only THIRTEEN SUCH ATTACKS during the BUSH ADMINISTRATION??

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Some labor unions that enthusiastically backed President Barack Obama's health care overhaul are now frustrated and angry, fearful that it will jeopardize benefits for millions of their members. Union leaders warn that unless the problem is fixed, there could be consequences for Democrats facing re-election next year. "It makes an untruth out of what the president said — that if you like your insurance, you could keep it," said Joe Hansen, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. "That is not going to be true for millions of workers now." Maybe you libs need to educate the unions now also.

"The issue of Benghazi is one of the most disturbing to me." Remember "it was all about oil". Is that why we didn't send troops this time. Your hero and ******e (Obama and Clinton) didn't want it to be seen that way so they just let them die.

JoeW.."If you don't understand the difference between Sebelius and Reed you have a problem."

Please explain it to me. One is asking insurance company to help cover the expense of PR on a bill that will increase their customer base (which by the way is the reason why these companies have agreed to contribute to the PR)

The other is an elected official who is to represent us the people of his district. Emphasis on THE PEOPLE not corporations or industry.

Does anyone truly believe that you can be objective on an issue which affects an industry after you have accepted major donations from that industry? What exactly do you think they donate the money for?

Explain to me if I have this wrong Joe...

American...."didn't want it to be seen that way so they just let them die."

This is an APPALLING statement. To suggest in any way that any of our top officials would just not care..and just let them die..is well american...UN American.

Last time I checked...we are all Americans...who unite when we are attacked. Only the hate fear mongers (who sadly I think you must listen to) would ever suggest or even hint that we just "let them die"

Guess you missed this report as well...

"Christopher Stevens, the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, who was killed along with three other Americans after terrorists stormed the mission, twice turned down offers from senior military officials for additional security at the facility"

This has more to do with the fear that Hillary will run...and most likely win...the next presidential election than anything else.

The attack on the US Consulate at Benghazi was a sustained attack, not a hit and run like those which were attacked with Bush was President. The Benghazi attack lasted for SEVEN hours and was watched in real time. Seven hours. In seven hours we can fly F-15 fighters from California to Libya. Panetta’s excuse of not sending forces in without knowing the situation was Bovine Scatology. We have Special Forces which train for those exact types of situations; one unit was less than two hours away.

Benghazi was Obama’s first actual baptism under fire as the Commander In Chief of the Armed forces. The US was under sustained attack and he had to act immediately. According to his SecDef, Obama deferred his responsibilities to him and Hillary. Neither he nor Hillary had the authority to deploy forces to repel the attack. Judeye wants to investigate the obvious while I want to know where the CINC was during the attack

Judeye-I will answer your question with a question, actually two questions. Does Mr Reed need to propose a bill and then must that bill not need to get through both chambers of congress? Does Ms Sebelius not have absolute authority regarding implementation of Obamacare?(read the many times this is mentioned-"as the Secretary may determine"! Now having asked those questions of you,do you understand the difference?
