Good Plan,at least the GOOD citizens wouldn't have to cower in their homes.Wouldn't have to fear going out of their homes if they had concealed carry.Too many like the Liberals that live in Gated communities, have private security or those with modest means that live in a trouble free neighborhood don't know how the inner city is.I've been in them-you avoid them as you've mentioned in older posts:"you know better than to go into THOSE neighborhoods",sound familiar?BUT what do you do if that IS your neighborhood? What do you do if you HAVE to live there? How do protect your family?

Again, Mr. One issue wearing blinders through life, has no clue what he's talking about. This article and event as well as my responses have absolutely nothing to do with your typical right wing parroting of all things wrong with the poor. This behavior existed in poor neighborhoods decades before any of those give-aways you mentioned existed. You could look it up, but that would require you to actually enlighten yourself by exposing yourself to facts, not dogma. That would be way too hard for you. Why not give your standard answer to fix everything, ARM THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!! That'll do it!

OK:I got it-don't worry/be happy. It's always been like this,if we could just get to the root causes of their problems,"free phones here-get your free phones/no more than 3 to a customer,we need more activities to keep them off the street. Most of us without "vested interests in being HELPFUL"have enough on our plate.Take this one on as another of your "causes".NO problem TO BIG or to small-I do 'em all.

Funny how Conservatives, who always look backwards and pine for "the good old days", seem to suffer from such myopia while doing so. Long before Liberals had any sort of power, long before any programs for the poor, the highest crime rate was in the poorest immigrant communities and followed the ethnic pattern of mass migrations, from Irish, to Italians and Jews. (Yes, there were lots of Jewish gangsters back in "the good old days".)Criminality with few exceptions follows economic levels more than anything else. It was true in "the good old days", and it still is.

I might add, that Dunkirk has a LOT of poor people, and many of them would LOVE to work if there were good jobs available. (There aren't) Look at any city, and the highest crime areas are poorest areas. Not all poor people are criminals by any means, but most criminals don't come from economically successful families. Just a point.

I'm tryi8ng to figure out what Tea baggers, Conservatives, Liberals and all the other political nonsense has to do with a stabbing and outright criminal behavior. As for Billsman's suggestion to always carry a concealed weapon, obviously somebody was.

Chicago east. I used to walk home from Sacred Heart School up Ruggles St every school day without a worry in the world. I am getting old for posts like this.
