More flawed logic by the Observer. What on earth does the census have to do with the number of parcels in a particular community? That said, using the town assessment roll is what most of the local villages already do, and have done for years. Why not report those?

Mr. Stark's comments ar indicative of the kind of backward thinking that prevails in the county. Absolutely every unnecessary government job needs to be eliminated if we are to compete for the investment in jobs, industry and commerce that is so badly needed. Is that really so hard to understand? Why do w get stuck with elected officials who seem to know so little?

Better yet, elmininate every unnecessary middle and upper manager in the private sector and use the monies to pay living wages to the rest of their employees.

Nope, Mr. Stark is in a very small minority. Most places consolidated this position years ago.
