Is this the same Congressman Reed who accepted an all expense paid trip to Israel last year - a trip in which at least one fellow congressman was found "skinny-dipping". Gee - I wonder why all expenses were paid!

Great to see our Rep looking into poverty and how we can and should address it.

COI is the leading antipoverty agency in our county. They do outstanding work to help a person (family) move from crisis status, to self sufficiency. Many programs along the way to help and support them to get out of poverty or avoid falling into it in the first place.

We have a very high level of poverty in this County. We must address the issues that cause it. NO IT IS NOT just because they are lazy either.

I hope after seeing first hand all the programs that help EMPOWER people, that Rep Reed will vote to continue funding such programs. Head Start quickly comes to mind as one of the best programs to help young children from low income families get a head start in education.
