Will the band be paid in spite of the cancellation? Many people enjoy music on the pier but I think it may be reasonable to ask if the city should be more focused on efforts to restore the local economy. How many full time family sustaining jobs have been created with music on the pier? Will the city be liable if there is an accident or death resulting from drunken behavior? Should the city be hiring out of town bands without an escape clause for rainy days? There can be no doubt that the city's natural harbor is an asset that will play an important role in the city's future. I would prefer to see the DLDC concentrate on economic and job development.

With no Thursday night drunkfest, how is Dunkirk going to survive or pay its bills for about the only way we generate revenue these days?
