Just a quick question, why was merging with Fredonia a bad thing? was it the distance involved? Teachers? Cost? I really think that merging Westfield and Brocton makes perfect sense, I just wondered why Fredonia didn't? anyone?

The vote for the Fredonia/Brocton merger 469 voted yes, 882 voted no in Brocton. Looks like the same 460 some showed up to vote yes and the rest stayed home. With Brocton ranking at the tail end of reports in this area I never understood why they didn't want to merge with Fredonia. They both are equal distance and both Westfield and Fredonia rank very high. I hope the merger with Westfield happens.

Majority rule is mob rule. Democracy is no different than an angry mob of people with torches and pitchforks. Let the wealthy decide what schools remain open (the private ones) and which ones close (you guessed it, the public schools). The 1% have spoken!
