"Use of the so-called "be on the lookout" lists (BOLO) using partisan names like "Tea Party" and "Patriot" to flag applications for more scrutiny were at the heart of a critical report from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration issued on May 14.

Agency chief Danny Werfel reaffirmed the inspector general report's finding that no employees or outsiders intentionally subjected Tea Party and other conservative groups to extra scrutiny." And what lie would they like to get us to believe next. Not intentional my ***

Face it, it's Bush's fault.

And, when things go right, like the auto industry bailout, Iraq withdrawal of forces, and the inelegance gathering to take out bin Laden, well even though that's Bush's fault too, we'll give those to Obama. Oh, BTW, insiders said Penatta actually pulled the trigger to take down bin Laden. Obama learned from Jimmy Carter and Operation Eagle Claw what happens when things go wrong...ahhh, I was out playing golf when he gave the go-ahead.

Judeye-you answered your own question with this- "programs that help people being cut, and everyone is being told to make "sacrifices". Everyone it seems except those who work for the government offices".Doesn't the President fall into that category? Please tell me you did not invoke the"race card" BS as well?

As for the IRS spending this money...

Whoever authorized this trip should be disciplined for sure. This is an outrage when we have so many people out of work, programs that help people being cut, and everyone is being told to make "sacrifices". Everyone it seems except those who work for the government offices.

"During Bush’s second term alone, Laura Bush made five “goodwill” trips to Africa. President Bush made the trip twice during his presidency...For some odd reason, the GAO (General Accounting Office) records on the cost of the Bush family’s Africa travels seem to have vanished. The media has contacted the GAO, but no specific numbers have been provided yet. President Clinton’s Africa trip in 1998 cost taxpayers $42.8 million. George W. Bush’s two trips five and ten years later were likely more expensive."

I just find it so hypocritical when the right screams when Pres Obama does the EXACT same things as former presidents. What would the reason by for the outrage? Oh..yes he is a Democratic Party president..and ....(fill in the blank)...

hey robert, you missed some things. How can a guy like obama rant against bush in his campaign and yet adopt the very same policies ? robert , your analytical skills are missing. obama even hinted at this in his berlin speech. he said politicians do not do what they say.Obama expanded govt spying , as we cannot profile, expands drone use, keeps guantanamo open and you praise him while condemning Bush. You libs are mental cases pure and simple. Take cronig, all he can do is use flowery language. Bob and cronig, please tell me where i am wrong on this . i am ready for the name calling , you can do it libs.It proves again that libs need tea partiers to think as that is all the libs can do is mimic, like primates. Some of them post here.

Only tea partiers were targeted. One can only agree with a democrat. hey unlearned posters, a new pledge of allegiance, one nation, one payer, one party , under Darwin, democrats and public employee unions with no dissent and govt programs for all. Cronig will you ever stop with the church lady gaggle stuff ? You liberals do not seem to have any intelligence, just name calling, racist, gaggle, etc. Why is that ? need funding liberals ?

Robert-here are some hard facts.(1) The auto industry bailout was initiated during the Presidency of one George Bush. President Obama continued with the program. (2)The withdrawal of US forces was negotiated and signed by President George Bush. President Obama continued with the status of forces agreement and withdrawal. What person would not have given the order to take out Osama? Was it really necessary to play the race card to cover your inaccurate rantings? That's really pitiful!

Donnar, please enlighten me as to what facts? He doesn't travel more than any other president, his staff is not outrageous, he definitely takes less vacation than GWB, he saved the nation from a depression, got The auto industry going again, gave the go ahead to get Bin Laden, got us out of Iraq, winding down the Afghanistan debacle, unemployment dropping, housing going up, stock market going up and yet the radical right HATES this guy. why???? he's black nuff said....bigots

You know, hadenough, blaming all your failures, shortcomings and troubles in you life on a black guy really isn't a recipe to get lucky tonight. The only cry babies chicks like are babies, you know the real infant variety, not grown adult of the loser variety.

And put away the Aqua Velva, too.

Steinerdzzz...for a guy, from being educated by our public educational system in kindergarten to receiving your monthly Social Security welfare payment and government-run health care medicare as a retired babyboomer, your anti-government/Democrat/liberal musings, er, spittle-flecked rantings are the stuff of the Hypocrisy Hall of Fame.

But again, seeing how you are now in a state-run Gowanda-seque facility -- yet another government program which supports you, you will never be at a loss of the imaginary.

Many in the US government??? This IRS business occurred with a relative handful of employees in the Cincinnati IRS office. There are faceless millions who had provided careers of dedicated public service as civil servants -- so the belittling is reprehensible beyond the pale.

Only the clueless would equate "handful" into "many", so its very, very unsurprising the the clueless church lady gaggle OBSERVER board doesn't disappoint expectations.

Fink also "mea culpa'd" by saying hmany of the expenditures "should have been more closely scrutinized or not incurred at all and were not the best use of taxpayer dollars."

No foolin', Sherlock, but THAT didn't stop you from taking a %1,500 or $3,500 suite, did it? Big of you to say so AFTER you got caught!

Google obamas travel cost as president you will not believe the money he spent in just one year. Also check the number of times he has flown on Air Force one last year. Answer 175 times that's one trip every other day. And the cost well I will let you research that.

The waste of taxpayer monies has ben going on for decades. It is not until now under the Obama administration that it is making and staying in the headlines. Example our president spends money on campaign trips like it was nothing. Every senior director of a department such as the IRS is operating on their own. They just received a $70 million bonus. While the working man is being furloughed. Now does that make sense? Obama has not lead the country he has distanced himself from any and all government oversight. He(Obama) is spending $100 million on a trip to Africa. Yes Africa. Now how much sense does that make. The total amount of money spent by Obama since becoming president would make Bill Gates whince yet he continues to do it. Being the president is not a free pass to travel and campaign instead of running the country. But Obama has changed all that. Now what does Africa have to offer that the President would spend $100 million to go there?

Mr editor, the govt employee believes that they are absolutly essential. Life could not go on without them. Even your guest columnist Paul Christopher echoes this line. As long as you agree with the govt, like unions, liberal tax exmpts, you are OK. For as we all know, they are for the poor. They are also stewards of the planet too ! These govt employees believe the planet will die, so all efforts against the govt employee aims must be stopped. You know, kind of like the purges Hitler and stalin had against their opposition. These govt people sure are tolerant aint they ?
