Lindsay does not understand science or history. The pioneers BURNED the trees for the ashes. Ash was the cash crop . This from history museums, books and newspapers. The saw mills did not denude the forests.Fracking a blasphemy ! You know nothing. Your lungs are fracked as are gills. The creator knows fracking, he made it. technology and petrol bad ? We were a wood based country till the civil war. Forests disappearing . Std oil saved them and the whales, fact. Technology via Fritz habers ammonia process feeds nearly half the world. You do not know much science at all as most activist women do not. Check women nobel prize winners. They are much less than men. we were to run out of oil and gas by now. Fracking caused a huge upswing in production, roiling the energy markets. Natural gas is thought to be renewable now. Read science history Lindsay. every time we were to face gloom and doom like you write, some guy, it is almost always a guy shows up and solves the problem.Take up knittin

Lindsay, here is some technology science for you. I have built machines that use natural forces that boost tthe gas mileage by 25% at a cost of nearly a penny a gallon. All the learned posters here mock this, but they dont know science. Any one could build them, if they could get past the anti tech and end of world scenarios the liberals and the activists thrust on us every day. The world, made by the creator is a much more strange and wonderful than you can ever imagine. You have to explain then, the huge fracking boom out west where water is scarce. The train explosion in quebec is from fracked oil. Take away petro chem, a guy based indsutry if ever there was one and we are back to the stone age, the days of the beloved pioneers. Electricity was the best thing ever commercialized. It took burdens of our backs and lessened the need for women to do what they can only do, make babies. Lindsay, you fight against what is. liberals and activists do that as they cannot understand science

Steinerdzzz, just because you disagree with Galileo doesn't mean the planets suddenly stop revolving around the sun -- you have a demonstrated and validated ZERO understanding of all sciences, physical and social, save your bizarro and self-loathing reality.

There was sound and fury but it signified nothing.

Steiner, if you're really as brilliant as you say you are, lead us to these inventions of yours. Hell, I want an extra 25% gas mileage, I'll even pay you for your troubles to teach me. What is a Steinertron? Seriously.

Unless you start backing up your scientific claims, I'm just going to picture you as a frazzle-haired lunatic in your mom's basement who's a legend in his own mind.

Look, I agree with many of your conservative principles, but you rat on others like cronLg and jud to give you facts, but I don't see facts or evidence in your posts either - just self-proclaimed numbers and statements.

This is no endorsement of cronLg and jud, I will most likely disagree with them most of the time. But for goodness sake, help us out here - less rambling, more substance.

PR24601, he wrote earlier this week he has “built machines that use natural forces that boost gas mileage by 25% at a cost of nearly a penny a gallon” and “major industries want the secret, but I have refused so far.”

So I guess we’ll all just need to wait until he decides to monetize it...

the learned libs are at it again. Hey cronig if i do not understand science, how is it you ate some of my brew . You seemed suprised. Ignorant people usually are. To put it bluntly, pr and dk are too ignorant of basic foundation science to understand what i have done. All my chemical work , mocked and derided by dk, cronig and others has proven in the market place. All the analytical I mentioned was proven across the worlds analytical labs. The posters like dk, cronig and others mock but say in reality say nothing. cronig , no church lady gaggle, uncle fester, librul, christufu , etc. Cant think science can you ? Anyone who understands the way the ancient writings were written, the philosophy in them coupled with a good industrial machine knowledge can build them.hey cronig, hows that investment in green energy and education doing ?

why wont i tell you guys the secret ? heres why. The liberals wont give it to you either. They control the educational system. Those essential govt employees .the teacher unions want you dumb and poor. thats the democratic way. Cronig has praised the govt to no end. The govt teaches only darwinism. Believe that and you will never build the machines. Never work in industry and you will have to study lots of books.all that investment in green energy cronig raves about is just junk. Perochem is gargantuan and cant be replaced with green stuff, unless, well, my other ...

we used to be a nation of tinkerers. Wright bros, henry ford, or frank whittle in UK. The govt has made us more and more dependent on the govt for a reason. If you read basic physics, they really dont know what force is , just its effects. Electric charge is a mystery too. tesla called the hertz wave theory an aberration. I just read science and disregarded all the mockers i met, which were many. so figure this out , I did and you can too . Guess who were my role models, white male europeans. Guess who the libs hate ? the very same ! think that is a coincidence ? Hardly . Immigration act of 65 by the libruls.

especially for croehnig, WSJ, pg A3, 7/24/13. electricity costs soar as oil booms. cronig does not want to repower dunkirkand neither does lindsay. The west is BOOMING , we are wasting away listening to ignorant talking about rationing and end of world stuff. Repower the plant, start fracking and make some money Entice a chemical plant to build here. Scrap unions and watch the good times roll. chicago is going to spend 500 million to refurbish a baseball stadium and we are hesitant over a power plant ? Are we that stupid or just dumbed down by the liberals. Gracious, democrats have made everyone afraid of their own shadow .

I like to be open minded and consider myself pretty well educated on this whole dunkirk repowering topic with 30 years in the field. But I have to be honest, once I got to the end of this commentary I was asking myself "Huh" as id forgotten what she was even writing about. Almost like a well crafted politicans speech, it left me wondering what the heck we were even here to discuss

you learned posters keep missing the point. Linsday is talking rationing amid plenty of hydrocarbons..The hydrogen from natural gas is used to make ammonia and ammonium nitrate, of great value to agriculture.Fritz haber for the dullards.bread from air. Nitric acid too, another german. what part of that dont ya understand ? I have worked with hydrogenated chemicals , H2 stripped from natural gas. the chemicals looked like diamonds! they were beautiful ! too deep for you posters. My energized gas proven. Why dont thel libs offer you it ? Why do they want rationing. Plainly, why are they so stupid ? Tell me dk, local one, croehnig, etc. what i have missed from lindsay's article.Thats how I made all my goodies. i read far and wide into the great minds. that eludes all the posters here. where is judeye and her in depth analysis ? we made need unions.

hep posters, you missed this too. How is the west, doing fracking and they have to have less water than us cuz of the great lakes. Hey lindsay, your circulatory system is fracked too. Large arteries into capilaries. You would not live without it.so learned posters, marcia, judeye, dk, croehnig, christopher etc, tell us how arizona has cheaper h20 than us, publishers notebook, 7/26/13. pg A3. how west texas is BOOMING, Booming as other western states are. The libs think we are running out of fresh water. It would show up in the west first. We are adding at least 100 million gallons a day of water to air. If co2 is rising then the water mmust be also as hydrocarbons are burning. libs, like like localone and dk, can you understand this.

hey lindsay and learned posers, PBS 7/25 9PM. Atomic bomb testing, the super or Hydrogen bomb. Russia exploded the largest, 50 million ton of TNT equivalent near arctic circle.Buildings wrecked 70 miles away. The planet did not die. They could have gone to 1500 Megaton, but the atmosphere would blow out into space. Lindsay , you are worried about rationing ? Global warming by co2 ? help me out here learned posters.

I wonder why Steiner calls anyone and everyone who disagrees with him "a lib" or "a dumocrat."

Sorry, but I've voted for every Republican presidential candidate since 1980. So I guess I'm just "a dumorepub."

I guess we don’t give Steiner enough credit because, after all, he’s the Thomas Paine of poppycock; the Forest Gump of gunk; the James Baldwin of blather; and the Ernest Hemmingway of hogwash, hokum and hooey.

And as you've read, he’s also the Telsa of twaddle, with secret inventions with secret components in secret products tested in secret labs with secret test results.

Edwin Snowden ain't got nuthin' on him!

dk and time said nothing except words. they cannot think and here is why. First, i quoted facts from tv and history, they respond with just rhetoric. especially for dk, a great philospophic quote for the poster who does not understand what is foundation science, but loves quotes. the book is by burbidge, real processes, how logic and chemistry combine in hegels philospohy of nature, pg55. few people are adept at abstracting logical principles that underlie scientific development of measurements. . Dk, do ya know what that means . I bet you dont. So get the rants a going. dk, dont like being called a little ignorant ?time tells me to shut up ?wow, he ate my stuff and purchased my stuff in the store. DK, none of the analytical labs are secret. You just dont understand what real science is, the stuff that changes everything.

now what all of you posters and lindsay too has not answered is how can fracking be bad, our bodies use it. I have given many examples, all ignored . how can co2 be bad when analytical hard science says it is not. How can the planet be dying when all the nuclear testing did not do it. Russia would have gone to 1500 megaton equivalent TNT, but realized a chunk of the atmosphere would be blown into space. In the face of all these facts. How about saying somneyhing other than blather dk, time etc. You guys really know less than you think.so please learned posters, say something other than rants . I believe you are unable to.

Lindsay sounds very noble, and poetic in her prose, but I don't believe that anything was really said. Not anything logical or real at any rate. What particularly grabbed my attention was the portion about Appalachian Mountains crumbling onto valley dying valley towns if we don't stop the use of dirty planet killing coal, (paraphrasing of course). This is complete nonsense. What is killing these small towns is the lack of the use of coal now. I just took a week long vacation to Tennessee, and went through the mountains of Kentucky and West Virginia. I met a lot of these wonderful, hard working people, (whom I'm sure ill-compassioned persons like Judeye, or Dcronig would call "uneducated"), and they are all hurting, and the towns are dying because coal is being cut back. There are a few mines still in operation, but they are much farther and fewer than they were 80 years ago, when the area was booming. These put people to work, as does converting a power plant to natu

Continued-....as does converting a power plant to natural gas. We are coming up with new technologies every day to improve power production, to improve the method and safety of extracting natural resources, and yes, even to produce "green" energy. The problem is that right now the technologies to produce the "green" energy is not at it's peak, and is not cost effective. We can't just go charging in without any thought to cost when dealing with these concepts. Somebody has to figure in the cost, and who is going to pay for it, and I ask you, Lindsay, and Dcronig, and Judy...Who is going to pay for it? Give me a real answer, based on logic, not on some fake numbers on a website that are completely skewed to fit a predetermined answer. Is order for us to be sustainable, we need to first be financially sustainable. Otherwise we drive ourselves to ruin.

The relationship between coal companies and coal mining men has a dramatic and bloody history which spans from shanty-towns, murdered union men, black lung, and modern "cancer clusters."

I love the country life, outdoor recreation, healthy ecosystems. Fracking is considered a natural gas 'bubble.' That's a market term, like housing bubble, dot-com bubble, it refers to a temporary boom created by artificial factors, followed by an inevitable crash.

Fracking was invented by Halliburton, and they ensured that the chemical recipe did not have to be public knowledge. It takes lots of water, and trucks, and drilling sites, access roads built through forest land, drilling pads fenced off and ugly. Thousands of heavy trucks running the roads to shambles, loud, invasive and all for temporary productivity, followed by abandoned wells and scarred land.

The north pole has completely melted this summer. There are communities actively working to prepare for hard times.
