Concern, You need to read the terms of the original Nation-State Gaming Compact. It was the Senecas that followed it in both letter and sprit. As usual, it was the government that broke its agreement. Cuomo has now admitted as much.

The Seneca's change their tune when the real threat of competition from non Indian owned casino's became a real possibility something that should have been done at the time the first payment was withheld!

No PR24601, under the terms of the compact that money was the Senecas TO KEEP just as soon as the state violated the Exclusivity clause of the Compact. The governor has now admitted that the state did violate the Exclusivity clause, and thus the nation was within its rights. And in fact the Senecas ARE NOT giving everything back. Essentially it's now a GIFT. The only reason that Senecas are giving anything at all back is (in my observation) because the state likely threatened not to pick up the optional seven compact year renewal if the nation demanded it's full Compact rights (AKA: the ones originally agreed to by the state). This was a strong arm ploy on the part of the governor. Unethical as all get-out, but just about what we would expect from Princess Andy of Albany.

In other breaking news - - Dunkirk resident pays mortgage, gas bill and electric bill! Is greeted by bank and utilitiy CEOs and cheering crowd!

Agree wth PR - what a grandstanding photo op for something that was owed, like, since forever! I wonder if Cuomo spoke a few words about how NF has been suffering while waiting for the money.

I'll agree to the "sneaking, sniveling cowardly" part, but that applies to the Republicans not only as well but especially. As for the money, I agree, where's the interest?

WTF are we cheering on King Cuomo and Chief Rapemypeople? This was money NF was supposed to have all along right? But now they're heroes for delivering a check for what they OWED?? Where's the interest payment? Where's the big celebration for me when I finally pay off my mortgage? Is CS&L going to have a press conference and hail me a victor for paying my own assumed debt? Get friggin real.

Another photo op for the prince to try and make him look good. But we know what underlies that smile. A sneaky sniveling cowardly democrat.
