It appears the county IDA & DMP have entered into an unusual "arrangement", causing elected officials to praise each other for creating 4 future jobs.

If the Chadwick Bay bldg was owned by the county and sold to DMP, why isn't the sale price publicly disclosed? Further, since the county has agreed to "acquire" DMP's bldg on Deer St as a condition of sale, what secured collateral did DMP use to purchase the Sheridan facility?

As usual Dcroakernig has difficulty reading yet alone understanding what was put forth in the deal. Not at all surprising.

Toadeeeewww -- you make it sound like they got a free ride: they didn't. The credits are for expansion costs, and not operations (ie, earnings...), where they will still get taxed, esp at the NYS level.

But of course, you don't understand any of this, as you have no idea what you're talking about.

Let me get this straight, local officials offered an existing company (not a new business):

A 12-yr Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) agreement; temporary sales tax abatement related to improvements and mortgage recording tax abatement, AND the board also approved the acquisition of (buying) the company's 795 Deer St. bldg.

All this to gain 4 jobs? The irresistible incentives obviously were just too good to refuse. This offer may have been a sweetheart deal for DMP, but it looks like taxpayers took it on the chin, again!

...and they're all patting each other on the back? At least they got Dcron's approval.

And yet another uneducated remark by Dcroakernig without understanding why they consolidated and relocated.

For once the IDA is doing what they should be doing, helping existing businesses to survive and grow. Let's stop wasting all of our money on pie in the sky dreams of major companies wishing to locate here. Isn't gonna happen.

My, oh my -- someone investing to expand their operations, right here in our county, given all those high taxes which cause businesses to flee NYS???

What were they thinking??? They were thinking not to listen for one second to the clueless church lady gaggle OBSERVER board...
