He has battle marks on him..On his shoulders!! That will be a case of police brutality once he hits Mayville Hilton & all the jailhouse lawyers get to him..<I'M SERIOUS< Yeah it's sickening how ppl get into shyt & the minute they have 1 mark on them it's a law suit or some bs. What the heck was this man thinking when he attacked a 69 yr old in broad daylight? In a store? did he think he was invisible? invincible? and he would not get caught? Something just don't seem right with this story. I believe there must of been more to it than a random robbery.I COULD BE WRONG.AND IF SO I APOLOGIZE FOR JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS. Was drugs involved? owed money involved? The Davis guy don't look high or like he's on drugs or drunk. I don't know. The truth will eventually come out.and no I'm not trying to play detective>>to the ppl who always slam me when I post!!

It was jonathans right to rob that 69 year old man. stand your ground is viewed as illegal by the libs.so we really cant fault jonathan for that. he is doing what liberals want. A knife ? uhoh, there is no constitutional right to a knife. They can kill people.

Read the papers people. Older folks are easy prey and it is happening all over the country. As for threatening the police with a knife why wasn't he shot? Now the taxpayer will have to give him free room and board, an attorney and medical treatment. Not to mention the clothes, sheets, toothpaste, etc. 45 cents would have solved the problem.

hadenough of hadenough, and keepinnitreal..you better reread the article..addiction is running rampant, and so many once good people have given over their lives and all for the next high. It becomes foremost and number one in your mind..and their is no cure.Jails institutions and death, are the roads gone down. But there is a way..a solution, many will not want to hear it, but it is there if you ask. I and many others found the way..you can too...prayer!

I have to agree with hadenough, the only "battle mark," as KeepinItReal4U, put it, that he should have is a 9mm hole in his head after pulling a knife on a police officer.

The police followed the rules of engagement to the letter, and those rules justifiably restrict the use of deadly force, unlike the Wyatt Earp wannabe's on here seem to think they should be. Both officers deserve Valor awards, in my opinion. (I know them both a bit, neither well, but enough to say "Hi" if I pass them on the street). Keepinitreal posted what she always posts, "battle marks" my ...eye.

So much foe the 2nd Amendment! You gun loonies realize that knives are considered arms, right? Where are the 2nd Amendment supporters who are supposed to look out for everyone's rights?

ProudToBeUnAmerican,

As usual you spew trash, since I've yet to see any 2nd amendment supporter here claiming that it gave them the right to attack police with firearms.

Go troll elsewhere, maybe you can find someplace that would appreciate your lame comments?

Darkstar, Wayne LaPierre said EXACTLY that a few years back causing George Bush Senior to tear up his NRA membership card on National Television. This resulted in Wayne stepping back from the front of the line for a few years before he again became President of the NRA. He's a NUTCASE!!! Don't take my word for it, look it up.

@@@ all you who talk down to me as if I'm a idiot!! Yes I read the entire article so let me explain what I meant by some of my comments. Battle Scars> It was clearly his fault but jerks nowadays look for the smallest excuse to file a lawsuit against anybody.I just suggested that when this jerk hit Mayville alot of jailhouse lawyers(inmates) will pump his head up with the idea of that. They do that so they can earn commissary items by pretending to know what they are doing. DRUGS>> I know he had coke on him but nowhere does it say he was under the INFLUENCE OF THEM!! Usually when a person is drunk you can tell by their eyes/same goes when they are on drugs =he don't look high/ further more when I said if drugs were involved I meant was he a dealer trying to collect a debt. Or was he a fiend looking for $$ for his next high!! drugs don't discriminate--at any age!.I was not nor am I sticking up for this azzhole in any way shape or form.

con't>> The cops did an outstanding job but they should of kicked his****big time to teach his smart****a lesson or 2..Better yet maybe he should of succeeded in cutting his own neck & done Dunkirk a favor by taking another scum bag off the streets & not just sent to jail with a slap on the hand & out before ya can blink your eyes. I'm thankful neither cop got hurt. I know Kaus & he is a fair good guy.So I hope I better explained myself. CHRISTOPHER YOU KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO?? I THINK YOU GET YOUR JOLLIES ALWAYS TALKING SHYT TO ME OR ABOUT ME!! SICKO..YOU LEFT ME ALONE FOR A WHILE> I THOUGHT YOU GREW UP> BUT EVIDENTLY NOT CUZ YOU ARE RIGHT BACK AT IT!!
