Innocent but guilty in public opinion

August 24, 2013

It seems as if no one wants to defend George Zimmerman. I would like to have an opportunity to voice my opinion. After reading Paul Christopher’s last column (Aug....

National Media Completely Ignore NY Man Left Brain Dead By Attacker Shouting 'I Hate White People'

Read more: *******newsbusters****/blogs/noel-sheppard/2013/09/08/national-media-completely-ignore-ny-man-left-brain-dead-attacker-shou#ixzz2eM6KYvKA

This is sadly typical of the media. Ignore it unless it's white on black...or we can say it's white on black. Amaziingly they are actually THINKING of adding a hate crime charge to the list this POS faces for this. Haven't done it yet, but they are thinking of it. Where's Al and Jesse holding their vigil at for this poor guy? GD hypocrites...

@ bulldog10 Aug-28-13 7:02 PM I see she disdains to give an answer to your questions. Could it be that she knows she (and others) is/are wrong and just to proud to admit it?

Judeye, what don't you understand about if someone is out to harm you,

You have a cell phone, call your parents. Unless they don't care.

Call the police.

Run or walk home.

DO NOT attack the person you told your girl friend you thought was a white cracker gay rapist.

Because that is a racist's comment

and because it ended up not being true.

What don't you understand about those simple facts.

Judeye, if Martin was scared, why did he come back to confront Zimmerman? Zimmerman didn't yell out because he was on the phone with POLICE. He was on the phone with the POLICE to let them know where he was at. Zimmerman's mistake was probably not yelling to Martin, "I'm on the phone with the COPS". Most likely if Martin would have known the cops were on the way, he wouldn't have doubled back and come after Zimmerman.

Not Guilty is NOT the same as INNOCENT.

I give up.

Your fears and hatred dominate your thinking.

No one runs if they are not guilty. Oh really...you should not run if you think someone is out to do you harm? What then pray tell should you do?

judeye, just a simple statement for your what appears to be a simple mind. "He was the one without a gun" does not mean he was not the attacker but just the one who paid the ultimate price for attacking someone with one. I truly am sorry for martins family and that they had to go through this because their son did something this stupid. I am sorry that a kid died but if I had been in Zimmerman's place I would have done the same thing.

Your right stangv8. Judeye and Paul don't think fists can be a weapon. They just don't understand the case or anything else. Two words. NOT GUILTY!

Bulldog10, fists and feet make good weapons. Isn't that what killed 88 year old Delbert “Shorty” Belton in Washington?

You stated "Martin was scared someone following me".

NO, NO, NO you left out the racist part about him saying

"he is a white cracker gay rapist"

And he was wrong about that wasn't he?

Why do you supporters aways leave out the negative parts.

He didn't yell out because he didn't have time. Martin ran the first time, who runs, a thief. An honest person doesn't run because they have nothing to run from.

The second time he sucker punches Zimmerman.

Yeah your the solid upstanding American who is gonna to say "what are you doing while your getting punched".

The jury heard the evidence, NOT GUILTY.

Judeye, like I said long ago in postings.

All Martin had to do was go home that night, he stuck around looking to sucker punch a white cracker. And the sad part is Zimmerman isn't white, doesn't consider himself white.

Martin, could have went home, could have call police, could have called his parents.

Wait, he wasn't raised that way, he was raised to attack and hit and punch. Dragged up, no parents. Refused to follow rules, got kicked out of school, was arrested, did drugs, had property that wasn't his in his backpack at school. Called whites "cracker", was a racist. You will have a hard time saying this was a model honor student!

Nothing wrong?

Really you think following someone never telling them who you are or what you want is not wrong?

Why did Zimmerman just not yell out.."hey what you doing there? I am with the neighborhood watch. "

Martin was SCARED. As I would have been as well...some strange guy following me.

Still amazed..and very disturbed...that so many fail to empathize at all with the VICTIM. Rather, their empathy is with a guy who actively pursued a young kid, never telling him who he was or what he wanted, was instructed to not follow him, which he ignored, knows the police are on their way, and ends up in some altercation where the young UNARMED boy is murdered.

After killing the Trayvon's body..too many are intent on killing his character. VERY Tragic

Continued, It says alot about how they were dragged up in a disrespectful manner.

What kind of parent allows their kids to go around punching someone for false reasons?

This was not a 6 year old just learning, Martin was 17 Paul is 60 something and still thinks as a 17 year old he would do the same thing punch someone if he thought they were following him. Even if he was wrong about the reason they were following him (not a gay white cracker rapist).

You attack someone for the wrong reason > YOU ARE WRONG and you will be arrested. Not the guy following you. Because like I stated, Zimmerman, a watch person did nothing wrong by following Martin. Its legal get over it. And finally, its not taking the law into your own hands. Police ask the public for help everyday.

If as an American you can't help your fellow people...Well that is just sad.

People walking down the street and an old woman is being attacked, people just walk right by afraid of helping because of you.

This guy looks like he's up to no good, or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about.....Somethings wrong with him. Yup, he's coming to check me out, he's got something in his hands, I don't know what his deal is....These @!$%#s. They always get away.

Transcript of Zimmerman call

These...always get away..what do you think he meant?

Oh..and as I read again..seriously..think of this..he says the kids has his hand in his belt and Z does not know what he has..and so Z pursues him with a loaded gun...that he has in a holster in the back of his skirt? Oh give me a break..he really is not that stupid is he?

And you support that as well as someone that uses racist terms like white cracker. Nice

so you also condemn Zimmerman for his use of racist terms?

Racism is wrong no matter which side is doing it. Judging someone by the color of their skin, their religion, their creed or ethnic background. All wrong. On this day of all days...let us heed the words of MLK...to only judge people by the content of their character and NOTHING else.

Judeye, you didn't learn anything from the posts on what you can and can't do in public places.

Zimmerman did nothing wrong by following Martin. Proof of that is HE WAS NEVER ARRESTED FOR FOLLOWING HIM.

Secondly, Martin's parents and even Paul have said this has nothing to do about race or Martin's skin color.

Third, it was Martin who was the racist, making the comment to the girl on Martin's phone saying, he is a white cracker.

Fourth, Martin sucker punched Zimmerman. And even Paul says as a 17 year old he would punch someone. Now remember Martin THOUGHT AND SAID Zimmerman was a white crack gay rapist. Martin was wrong about that.

Martin attacked him because he was a gay rapist white crack. (wrong and racist). The fact is Zimmerman was not a gay rapist. So Martin attacked him for the wrong reason.

When you have people like Martin or people like Paul who are 17 and think they have a right to hit someone it says alot about their character,

American...

you say the 'attacker' was killed

he was the VICTIM

He was the one without a gun. He was the one being followed first by car then on foot. He was the one who had NO idea what was going on, only that some strange guy was pursuing him.

The VICTIM is being tried for his own murder.

And so many of you see NO problem with this?

bulldog10...what about... it also is not right for someone to think the worse about a kid just because of the color of his skin and the fact he had a hoodie on? Not right to start to follow that kid first by car then by foot, never identifying who you were or what you wanted? Not right to ignore a recommendation by the 911 operator not to pursue. Not right to take the law into your own hands..even when you knew the police were on their way. Not right to have a loaded gun in your possession as you follow a kid that you already think is up to no good. Not right to make up your mind that they are up to no good ONLY because...oh what was Zimmerman's reason?...hmmm.....

Instead of Arf, Arf, Clap, Clap I really think you should go with what the jury said who heard all the evidence. NOT GUILTY.

Hats off to Jack Benson for a great rebuttal to Paul Christopher's article.

Lets hope Paul learn something from Jack Benson and the posters that its not aright to suck-punch someone. That is not right to assume someone is a gay white cracker rapist when they are not. Lets hope Paul learned its not right to be racist and call people white crackers. Lets hope people can continue to defend theyselves and protect the rights of others. Lets hope parents learn to raise their children properly and don't raise them to attack or hit others. Lets hope people have learned from this sad story.

And lets not forget Martin, what happened was not funny, but that there are serious consequences to your illegal actions.

Lets also hope paul learned what you can and can't do in public places.
