If Lori Cornell is appointing a baby sitter as her campaign manager, maybe Ron Johnson will appoint his paper boy as his Economic Development Director!

"The CCIDA is an economic development organization authorized and empowered by the State of New York to make Chautauqua County a better place to work, live, and visit. We facilitate development by attracting new businesses, while promoting the retention and expansion of existing businesses. Assistance in the forms of incentives – tax abatements, low interest loans, and bond financing – enhances the opportunities for job creation and retention by our businesses."

I'm not that fond of Bill Daly myself, but Ron Johnson's pick for the job will be a union favorite looking out only for the needs of those interests.

These events have happened. He is not making them up. You know what they say about doing the same old thing and expecting different results. If he is taking a look and trying something NEW who knows. I think my vote is back in the Johnson column. Horrigan is part of the system and is not as likely to do anything but follow the status quo. Johnson is a new broom.

Finally, someone who is not afraid to say we are paying too much for too little results. This is where I want my county to start looking for real savings and real growth!

GeorgeB67 we get it...you hate unions and anyone that belongs. Just remember they do the real work that the taxpayers need done everyday, not the high paid manager that hasn't a clue how to get it done.

It's the Democrat candidate not Democrat-ic candidate! How silly! There are Republican candidates and Democrat Candidates.

George we don't know what either candidate will be able to accomplish with the IDA but we cannot have business as usual in any Department. How can you argue with that??

Once again Mr. Johnson is critical yet has offered no true plan of action. He is going to remove IDA leadership and replace it with what? Well if you read he previous press releases, his only plan is to stack the board with union representatives.

That's not a plan for progress. That is just more vote-pandering venom from a campaign with no ideas but lots of bricks to throw.
