We all know that Dunkirk has tremendous potential. The question is how can we correct the mistakes of the past and how can we find investors for a community that lacks leadership. Urban renewal was a huge flop and we are left with an empty downtown. Low Income housing destroyed the character of the city's neighborhoods along with our school district. Housing and neighborhoods have deteriorated to almost the point of no return. Most of our best employers have left and as a result our population is in a serious decline. Excessive taxation resulting from incompetent government creates an environment that no serious investor would want to tackle. So, these are the problems. We all know the city has great natural assets but how do we deal with the mess that was made by government over the years?

Thank you so much for getting the word out into the community!

I am hopeful for Dunkirk and I think that it has great potential to be revitalized, as long as the community members care enough to come out for the walk!

All they are going to look at is the waterfront. Big deal!! They need to look at the whole picture. How do you look at only a small piece and decide for the whole??
