CABLE?ACCESS ‘Something’ is not happening

October 6, 2013

When you pay for a service, you expect a product. But for whatever reason, city officials are being very patient with the lack of a product from Michael Carbone and Andre Cobham....

Another $6000 thrown away. That's Ok. Soon we will be filing for bankruptcy. Oh the joy of city living. Another thing. Don't forget the lake Erie water levels are the lowest they have ever been yet millions are going to be spent on a seawall that will do nothing.

Really? The clueless church lady gaggle has nothing better to do, no better news to report, no other nonsense to use a large font and to j u s t i f y its column width than to be the "civic watchdog" over $6000 with a multi-million city budget?

What's next? A front page headline screaming "CAT STUCK IN TREE FOR HOURS!!" ??

we have gone on record in the past on opposing the change and additional spending for cable access we stand behind that and warn every taxpayer that spending will increase on this boondoggle, and the council and mayor will go along with it as in the past, wait and see it's already in the works....

Goose Parvovirus is a highly contagious condition of geese and young Muscovy ducks. The younger the bird affected the more acute the condition and the higher the mortality. Losses are negligible in birds over 5 weeks of age.

Derzsy's Disease is caused by a parvovirus distinct from chicken and mammalian parvoviruses. The amount of maternal antibody passed from the breeding birds will affect the severity and timing and severity of the condition in the young birds. Vertical transmission resulting in congenital infection may occur. Signs

Prostration and death in acutely affected goslings. Reduced feed intake. Excessive water intake. Swollen eyelids and eye and nasal discharge. Profuse white diarrhoea. Membrane covering tongue. Loss of down. Reddening of skin.

Dcronk, this may have been one of your dumbest posts ever, and that's saying quite a bit. "Only $6000"? This may be a small amount but speaks clearly of a mindset that all taxpayers should be concerned with. It was the same with the Town of Pomfret purchase of a luxury work truck, free meals for board members, other things throughout the County, Towns and Villages and Cities, and especially School Districts, a MINDSET that totals thousands and thousands of wasted tax dollars. But I guess you're spending too much time on attempts to be clever to notice. (Note the word "attempts")

Typical politicians. The work was done for years by Danny and company for free and with antiquated equipment. True to the political mind set you have to spend money for a product or a service that was previously done for free. How do politicians come up with these ideas? Get up in the morning and decide let's spend $6,000 of taxpayers money because the taxpayer can't get something for nothing.

I don't believe that in recent history Dunkirk has had a mayor that put the people first and tried to save a buck.
